The number of Elden Ring players on Steam continues to grow and now comes to 953,426 contemporary players. This is a success not to be taken for granted.
The game’s previous record, reached on February 27, 2022, was just under 890,000 players. The current increase is therefore not huge, but also just the fact that the number of players, from one weekend to the next, has increased, is a sign of the success by Elden Ring.
As a rule, games that rely mainly (or exclusively) on a single player mode tend to have strong success at D1 and in the first weekend, but subsequently the number of users decreases, on a regular basis. Elden Ring, on the other hand, continues to grow. One explanation is that some players bought the game after D1, driven by critical acclaim and word of mouth from players. Furthermore, at the time of writing this news, Elden Ring can count on 942,900 contemporary players. This is the most played game on Steam of this moment: it is beating CS: GO, Lost Ark, Dota 2, PUBG, Apex Legends, GTA 5 and Destiny 2.
Elden Ring is scoring incredible numbers, that’s for sure. In the UK, for example, his D1 was one of the best ever: he even beat Horizon Forbidden West two and a half times.
