Pupil with 8 and 9 on her report card gets 6 in conduct: her father forgot to pay a 20 euro fine
A student of one school in the capital, the Virgilio high school, ended the year with excellent scholastic results, bringing home grades between 8 and 9 in all subjects. Despite this, she received a surprise: the class council assigned her a 6 in conduct.
The reason for this seemingly unfair decision lies in one bureaucratic issue which concerns the the girl’s father. The man, probably distracted by the thousand daily tasks, had forgotten to pay 20 euros foreseen by the disciplinary sanction following the school occupation last autumn.
A neglect, as reported by Orizzontescuola.it, that is cost the girl dearlyseeing his conduct grade significantly lowered and, consequently, his school average.
“It’s absurd that my daughter should suffer so much for not paying that amount” the mother thundered, preferring to remain anonymous.
On the other hand, sources from the Institute Council explain that the path was unique and the failure to complete an element caused the inevitable lowering of the grade.
The high school could reopen the report card in the event of a clerical error.
