The Swiss national team is training, in preparation for its next match against Scotland on Wednesday in the Euro 2024 Championship in Germany, in a different location in Stuttgart due to the poor ground of the original training field.
The Swiss Football Association indicated that the team will train at Stuttgart Stadium on Monday and Tuesday.
The Stuttgart city municipality said, “We deeply regret that the field was not ready for the training camp.”
She added, “Despite the intensive efforts made by stadium maintenance workers in the city in coordination with the European Football Association (UEFA), it was not possible to adequately prepare the stadium.”
The statement indicated that the search for a new stadium near the Stuttgart Kickers Stadium for the fourth-division team has not succeeded so far, and the decision is expected to be issued on Monday.
The Swiss national team hopes to return to its training headquarters starting Thursday, waiting for the field to change in preparation for its last match in the group stage against Germany on Sunday, noting that the Swiss national team won its first match against Hungary with a score of 3-1.
