Vladimir Putin’s chief propagandist Vladimir Solovyov is again pondering a possible Russian attack with nuclear weapons on NATO and Ukraine.
Moscow – He is in Ukraine War responsible for Russia in public TV shows polemically against the so-called West and against the Ukraine to hand out: Vladimir Solovyov.
Vladimir Solovyov: Vladimir Putin’s chief propagandist speaks of “nuclear war”
The chief propagandist of Moscow autocrat Vladimir Putin has once again stoked fears and warned of a nuclear war in another martial appearance. According to a translation by the independent portal Russia Media Monitor (see video below) Solovyov said on his own show: “Nuclear war is inevitable one way or another. Let’s compare whose strategic weapons are bigger!”
Solovyov is not the only protagonist and propagandist from the Kremlin circle who regularly raises concerns about a possible nuclear escalation between Russia and Ukraine supporters from the transatlantic defense alliance NATO.
On Russian state television: Putin propagandists paint a threatening scenario
Russia Media Monitor also quoted Andrei Sidorov, a university lecturer in world politics at Moscow State University, who said on Solovyov’s show: “We should just accept it. The only promise that life holds is that of death. A man wins when he stops fearing death. Listen, they keep challenging us and assume that we are weak. ‘Why should you use nuclear weapons? You can’t!’ They watch our show and say: ‘See? That’s right!’ Then why did our parents and grandparents spend so much money on a nuclear shield?”
Sidorov and Solovyov began to discuss things on the show. “We shouldn’t escalate as you suggest,” Sidorov reportedly said to Solovyov. Solovyov then replied: “Oh, really? That’s called weakness!” What Solovyov probably meant by comparing strategic weapons: Strategic nuclear weapons are considered intercontinental deterrent weapons. In the form of large missiles, they can travel thousands of kilometers and hit targets all over the world. They have many times the destructive power of the atomic bomb dropped by the Americans on Hiroshima in 1945 during the Second World War.
Nuclear weapons of Russia and NATO: Moscow has more warheads than the USA
And: Russia, which is currently preparing to take on the Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets, has, at least in terms of numbers, more strategic nuclear weapons than NATO combined and the USA individually in their holdings. Specifically: As the annual report of the Stockholm Peace Research Institute SIPRI According to the data from the year 2023, the Moscow regime allegedly had 4,489 operational nuclear warheads at the turn of the year. The entire arsenal therefore contained 5,889 nuclear warheads. According to the same source, the Americans had 3,708 operational nuclear warheads and a total of 5,244 nuclear weapons in their stocks at the same time.
Most recently, the Kremlin and NATO have shown each other the fundamental readiness of their nuclear forces. In early May, Russian autocrat Putin had his nuclear forces train on the border with and allegedly also in parts of the occupied areas of Ukraine for the potential use of non-strategic nuclear weapons. NATO member and KyivSupporter France, for example, publicly reported the successful test of “a modified ASMPA supersonic nuclear missile without onboard payload” on a Dassault Rafale fighter jet.
