Nvidia presented the new graphics cards for PC, the GeForce RTX 40, and also revealed the price, immediately considered very high by the players. The CEO, however, said that the price of GPUs declines from generation to generation.
Perceously, Jensen Huang – CEO of Nvidia – he replied to Digital Trends and said, “The idea that the price of chips falls is a thing of the past.” He also states that “Moore’s law is dead”, referring to the phenomenon that the number of transitors doubles every year leading to a drop in the price. “A 12-inch wafer is much more expensive these days,” says Huang.
Obviously, if you are not interested in investing the required amount for a GeForce RTX 40, the generation 3000 still remains available. Nvidia itself claims that the “RTX 3080 10GB are still of high value and we will continue to offer them in our product line”.
