A few days after the first cars arrived on the road, the Rimac Nevera returns to be the protagonist. The electric hypercar of the Croatian brand will in fact be the special guest of the opening ceremony of Pelješki Most, the new bridge that will connect some southern areas of Croatia to the mainland. The event will be held on July 26, in the presence of the Croatian president and prime minister. The new jewel of Rimac Automobili will therefore be the first car to cross the 2.4 kilometer long bridge which will be opened at the same time as the 20 kilometers of roads that will serve as a link to reach the facility.
During the ceremony, the Nevera will cross Pelješki Most on one side while the three-time European racing champion Niko Pulić will arrive on the other. The new bridge was delivered three months ahead of schedule and cost € 550 million. The opening ceremony will be broadcast live nationally. A unique opportunity to see the Rimac Nevera at work, a car that has a maximum power of 1.914 hp and a peak torque of 2,360 Nm, with a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h, thanks to the four-wheel drive, in less than two seconds (1.85) and a top speed of 412 km / h. It boasts a promised maximum range of 550 km in the WLTP cycle, thanks to the 120 kWh battery pack. The electric hypercar of the Croatian brand weighs only 2150 kilos thanks to the use of a carbon fiber monocoque.
The brand also used the battery as a structural element, claiming the package adds 37% more stiffness to the carbon fiber monocoque frame. Rimac states that it is “the most rigid structure ever”. The battery is positioned low in the car and between the two axles, offering 48:52 front / rear weight distribution to increase agility and handling. Only 150 examples of Rimac Nevera will be made, at a unit cost of approximately 2 million dollars.
