Despite the reduction in Russian gas supplies through the Nord Stream pipeline and the consequent reduction in gas supplies, equal to approximately 15%, gas flows in Italy are now regular at Eni. In fact, according to Snam data, the system is now balanced with higher forecasts of gas injected into the network (around 200 million cubic meters) compared to demand (around 160 million). The flow into Tarvisio from Russia is approximately 30 million cubic meters and the same number is destined for injection into storage.
The filling level of Italian storage is over 50% and is still above the EU average. According to what emerges from the Agsi data updated to yesterday, in fact, the filling level of Italian storage is in fact 53.68% against a European average of 52.63%.
As far as the main European countries are concerned, in Germany, which has the largest storage capacity in Europe ahead of Italy, the filling level of storage is currently 55.56%. In France it stands at 55.55%. In countries where the storage capacity is lower, such as in Portugal which has 0.3 billion cubic meters of capacity, the filling level of the storage is at 96.58%. In Spain it is 69.32%. In Poland, which has a storage capacity 1/5 compared to the Italian one, the filling level of the warehouses is 96.44%.
