Zelensky said that not everyone will be happy with the outcome of the conflict with Russia
Not everyone will be happy with the outcome of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, President Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with the TV channel Fox News.
“I don’t know how it will be, I’m not sure everyone will be happy,” he said. At the same time, he emphasized that the Ukrainians must win.
On April 24, US President Joe Biden approved a bill on the allocation of military assistance to Ukraine.
Zelensky said that the aid package to Kyiv will strengthen the Armed Forces of the Republic (AFU) and give them a chance to win. According to the Ukrainian leader, he really hopes that Ukraine will actually receive the weapons systems “that thousands of soldiers so need.”
The size of the new aid package for Ukraine will be about $61 billion. Moreover, more than a third of the amount (23 billion) will be allocated to replenish US reserves. 13.8 billion are intended for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine, and more than 11 billion for “current US military operations in the region.” 7.9 billion will be spent on maintaining the functioning of the Ukrainian government, and 26 million will be spent on overseeing the assistance provided to Kyiv.
