Mexico City.- After the presidential elections, former candidate Xóchitl Gálvez reappeared this Wednesday in the Senate.
In an interview with the media, he reported that he will work on a PAN proposal on judicial reform and the forums that will be organized to debate the issue.
“We are going to work on a proposal now with the forums that are going to be organized. So, right now I am going to a meeting with the parliamentary group,” he said.
Gálvez called on Sheinbaum to listen to the Opposition and not make the same mistake as President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
“Well, I hope that Mrs. Sheinbaum, Dr. Sheinbaum, will listen to the Opposition,” he said.
“One of the serious mistakes of the current President was having governed without listening to another part of the country that thinks differently. In her initial message she said that she would be willing to listen. And well, in that sense I am working on a proposal where I think it is very important to provide legal certainty for what may come.
“Today Mexico is facing a good investment opportunity, but without legal certainty, with a completely subjugated Judiciary, what I experienced in the campaign is a Country in the hands of organized crime.”
For the former candidate, it is important to reflect on the issue of electing judges, magistrates and ministers by popular vote.
