Deputy participated in a conservative event this Saturday (Feb 24) and asked for wide dissemination of images of the pro-Bolsonaro demonstration
The federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) said that “more than 1 million people” must attend the demonstration called by Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on Sunday (25.Feb.2024) on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo.
The former president's son participated in the Cpac (Conservative Political Action Conference) this Saturday (24.Feb.2024) in Washington, United States. He stated that Bolsonaro was “slandered” by the Brazilian Judiciary and appealed to those present at the event to share images of the demonstration in São Paulo.
“Report what is happening in Brazil. Tomorrow, we will have 1 million people on the streets of São Paulo in support of President Bolsonaro. Make these images circulate around the world. American Congressmen, we ask for a hearing in your Congress. You are the leaders of the free world. Help us expose this tyranny,” said Edward.
Former president Jair Bolsonaro was among the guests at Cpac, but was unable to attend because of the seizure of his passport during operation Tempus Veritatis, launched by the PF (Federal Police) on February 8.
The former president's defense asked the STF (Supreme Federal Court) to return the document so that he could go to the event. The process is being carried out in secrecy and there is no information as to whether the request was approved by the investigation rapporteur, Minister Alexandre de Moraes. However, the former president did not go to the conference.
