Through a statement, Google has revealed a new section for YouTube, known as Playables. Here, All users have access to a list of over 75 classic mobile games, as Angry Birds Showdown, Cut the Rope, and Words of Wonder. Each title can be enjoyed from the same application, so you don’t need to leave this platform.
Unfortunately, Playables is currently not available in regions such as Mexico, but it is expected that this new section will reach our hands in the near future. Likewise, it is unknown what Google’s plans will be with this project. In the case of Netflix, for example, original projects have been commissioned and the company has bet on the independent scene, but without forgetting some famous installments. In this way, YouTube could follow this path.
This is a natural progression for the platform. In just one app, users have access, not only to the videos they are already used to, but there are also movies, music, streaming and, from now on, video games.
