Really a remarkable thought that of the influencer Shood B Good. In the throes of a rallying delirium mixed a Subaru Impreza WRX and a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, creating a new model and calling it I suffered. The mashup immediately impressed social media followers, and it certainly took a long time to complete.
First of all it must be considered that the ‘mixed’ cars are substantially of same historical period. Obviously they have similar sizes, another factor that has highlighted their great rivalry. However, this factor did not facilitate this mixing of ‘skills’ between the two cars, but at the end of the job the Subevo really looks like an original car, without any oddities in terms of lines. To get a car without major design flaws, careful work has been done cut and sew with the bodywork. Of course, a die-hard fan might not think so, but that was precisely the intent: to attract attention without attracting attention.
Shood B Good had to cut and weld to fit the front and rear bodywork and make it homogeneous. The Evo headlights resulted in the elimination of Subaru’s air conditioning and ABS (although they may return elsewhere in the car, writes Carscoops). The Lancer Evo IX is slightly wider than the Impreza WRX, which means that the front fenders have been practically redone by combining the front fender parts of both cars. All this to achieve a smooth transition to the front doors. Work on the intercooler and grille was also needed. Finally, a new set of BBS-style rims was also fitted. Subaru 2.0-liter boxer engine has been tuned with a revamped exhaust pipe, new intake, turbo, injectors, HKS exhaust valve. The vehicle has no logos, to symbolically say that neither car has won the challenge: perfect equality.
