Los Mochis, Sinaloa.- The renowned Mexican choreographer Cristian Gutiérreznational multi-champion polkawill be in Los Mochis to give a course where he will teach the different styles of polkas, and in particular the chihuahua style.
The course that will be taught at the Casa de la Cultura Conrado Espinosa, from February 4 to 7, 2022, is aimed at dance teachers, dancers as well as the general public who are interested in learning this genre of folklore from northern Mexico, with basic intermediate level.
The course
The Mexican regional dance teacher and national polka champion in 2016, 2017 and 2018, will work with polkas, chotís and redovas dances, these three typical genres of Chihuahua, which will be taught on Friday, February 4 at 6:00 p.m.; Saturday 5, at 4:00 p.m.; Sunday 6 and Monday 7, at 9:00 a.m. And he asks for the following work material: cowboy hat, skirt and folk shoes.
