Governor Gladkov: The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the center of Shebekino from MLRS
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fired at the center of the border town of Shebekino, Belgorod Region, using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). About this on Sunday, May 19, in his Telegram– regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on the channel.
“According to preliminary information, eleven people were injured, including three children. A 15-year-old boy has a shrapnel wound to his lower limb, and a 12-year-old boy has a concussion,” he said, noting that both children were hospitalized.
Another victim is a 17-year-old young man with a shrapnel wound to his shoulder. After receiving medical care, he will continue treatment on an outpatient basis, the head of the region noted.
“Eight adults – five men and three women – suffered shrapnel wounds to various parts of the body. All of them were delivered by ambulance teams to medical institutions in the city of Belgorod, all necessary assistance is provided,” added Gladkov.
The governor also said that at the moment, destruction in the city has been observed in seven apartment buildings. At the same time, windows were broken in 98 apartments. In addition, 25 cars were damaged by shrapnel. The area is currently being searched; operational and emergency services are on site.
Earlier in the evening of May 19, a missile threat was declared throughout the Belgorod region.
