Montecitorio thus approved, without corrections compared to those made by the Senate in the first reading, the law decree which effectively closes the season of building bonuses based on credit transfer and invoice discount with a further tightening of the exercise of the two tax breaks .
Among the changes made to the text during the examination in the Senate are those provided with the Executive amendment which introduce, among other things, the so-called “spread-deductions” from four to ten years for expenses related to building bonuses incurred from January 2024 (with therefore retroactive effect), together with the stop from January 2025 to the compensation for banks and insurance companies of credits from construction bonuses with INPS and INAIL contributions.
Also from the Government came the postponement of the entry into force of the plastic tax extension from 1 July 2024 to 1 July 2026 (while the postponement of the sugar tax from 1 July 2024 to 1 July 2025 is due to bipartisan amendment proposals. Still to following the parliamentary changes, the Municipalities were given the possibility of carrying out anti-fraud checks in the application of construction tax breaks (withholding up to 50% of the amount recovered).
