Three rural roads in the municipalities of Mazarrón and Puerto Lumbreras that suffered significant damage caused by DANA in September 2019, as well as torrential rains last summer, have now been repaired with a regional investment of 106,910 euros.
The road that connects the RM-332 highway and the RM-D4 (Casa Colorá), in the district of Leiva (Mazarrón), was damaged by the torrential rains of 2019, as the water led to the creation of slopes and ditches, with landslides, loose rocks and landslides. For its repair, the necessary excavations have been carried out, projected the concreting of slopes, embankments and berms, which did not exist previously, and which will serve to protect the road platform from future avenues. In addition, the firm has been renewed and vertical and horizontal signage has been placed.
In Puerto Lumbreras, work is being carried out that affects the Boquera Honda road and the road at the intersection of the Cementerio road with the Ermita road and the El Murciano boulevard.
The General Director of Water, José Sandoval, yesterday visited the works that are being carried out in Mazarrón, where he assured that “these actions facilitate access to numerous homes and farms, which contributes to facilitating work and boosting the local economy.”
