Ambassador Antonov: Kyiv will face losses if the US ignores initiatives on Ukraine
Ukraine will face new territorial losses if the United States ignores Russia’s initiatives for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. About it stated Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov in an interview with Newsweek.
Antonov commented on the upcoming summit on the “peace formula” of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Switzerland. He noted that the event makes no sense without an invitation from Russia and taking into account Zelensky’s expired term of office.
The ambassador added that if Ukraine’s allies push the country to continue the conflict, Kyiv will face new defeats at the front. “If Russia’s proposals for peace negotiations are again ignored in Washington, Ukraine will lose much more territory,” the diplomat emphasized.
Previously, Zelensky allowed discussion of only three points of the “peace formula” out of ten at the summit in Switzerland. He stressed that Ukraine will only bring up issues of prisoner exchange, nuclear and food security at the first summit.
