The gunman was the ex-husband of one of the victims and fled on a motorcycle, according to police.
A 16-year-old teenager died and two other women were injured during a shooting attack carried out by a man in Paraisópolis, in the south zone of São Paulo, on the afternoon of this Tuesday, 21st. According to the Military Police, the person responsible for the shooting is ex-husband of one of the victims – until the publication of this report there was no confirmation as to which of them is the ex-wife of the shooter, who fled.
The crime took place on the corner of Melchior Giola and Pasquale Gallupi streets, and the shooter fled on a motorcycle, according to witnesses who told the police.
The PM was called and took the victims to Ambulatory Medical Assistance (AMA) in Paraisópolis, where the teenager died.
One of the two survivors was transferred to the Emergency Room at Campo Limpo Hospital.
Civil Police are trying to locate the suspect, whose name has not been released.
On April 17, another episode of violence occurred in the Paraisópolis favela: a 7-year-old boy was hit in the face during an exchange of gunfire between military police and criminals, and lost vision in his right eye.
