Six people, including four children, died in a fire in a two-story private house in the Yakut village of Suntar, the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reports.
On the night from Saturday to Sunday, the GUMCHS in Yakutia received information about a fire in a private house on Partizanskaya Street in the village of Suntar. By the time the first fire and rescue unit arrived, the house was on fire. The area of the fire was 70 square meters.
“As a result of the fire, six people died, including four children. According to the results of the check, if there are grounds, the necessary measures of the prosecutor’s response will be taken,” the press service said.
The prosecutor of the Suntarsky district left for the scene.
According to the GUMCHS, the alleged cause of the fire is non-compliance with fire safety rules when using the stove or a short circuit in the electrical wiring. The guilty person and the damage are established.
