On Sunday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for adopting artificial intelligence-based solutions in order to ensure the future of the industry.
During the opening of the Hannover Industrial Fair, Schulz said that the exhibition sets important priorities by focusing on artificial intelligence and solutions for the energy transition, noting that affordable energy and increasing innovations are the basic conditions for enhancing productivity and growth. Schulz believed that to achieve this, there is a need for artificial intelligence solutions such as those shown in the exhibition. “There are machines that carry out simple tasks instead of us, which enables workers to switch to tasks with higher qualifications.”
The German Chancellor expressed his hope that the Hannover Industrial Fair would give new impetus to the energy transformation and enhance the competitiveness of the industrial sector in Germany.
Schulz said, “We can see here in this exhibition what our country will live in the future, our development of the new, our constant improvement of products, and our research and application of future technologies.”
Schulz stressed that “the modern policy of providing offers includes, of course, being faster and simpler. We completely agree on that,” pointing out that his government has already laid important foundations in this area.
The exhibition, which is the world's largest exhibition for mechanical and electrical engineering, brings together 4,000 exhibitors from 60 countries displaying their latest products in Hannover.
The exhibits center around artificial intelligence, climate-friendly production, providing solutions for the energy transition and the use of hydrogen as an energy source.
