Russia intends to attack sites belonging to Ukraine’s security services and special operations unit in the capital Kiev, according to the Kremlin’s Defense Ministry. The information was given by Russian news agencies Tass and RIA, according to a publication by Estadão, this Tuesday (1st). Earlier, an attack in Kharkiv hit a local government building, while tens of kilometers of Russian troops advance near Ukrainian capital.

The decision would aim to “suppress information attacks against Russia”. The Russians’ guidance is for the people of Kiev to evacuate these areas. “The SBU’s technology facilities and the 72nd main PSO center in Kiev will be hit with high-precision weapons. We urge residents of Kiev who live near the sites to leave their homes,” said the official representative of the military department, Major General Igor. Konashenkov.

According to the Kremlin, since the beginning of the conflict, there has been an increase in the number of information attacks on Russian government institutions, as well as messages to attack citizens, in places such as schools, railways and stations. The Russian Defense Ministry stressed that there is no attack on civilian targets in Ukraine. However, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported more than 350 Ukrainian civilian deaths, including 14 children, from the start of the invasion to Monday.
