One of the buildings of Vladimir Putin’s residence in the Ongudai district of the Altai Republic caught fire, burning almost completely. According to the Telegram channel Siren of the Alexei Navalny Foundation, the images depicting the building that burned down – and where Putin once hosted Silvio Berlusconi – were published by the blogger Amyr Aytashev and the activist Aruna Arna. The causes of the fire are unknown.
Officially it is a health complex, “Altayskoye Podvorye”, owned by “Gazprom”. However, in 2011, Novaya Gazeta correspondents were denied access to the territory by security guards, who said that “a specially protected facility is intended for the recreation of senior government officials.” At the same time, Gazprom stated that the complex was used to “hold meetings with trading partners.”
The causes of the fire have not yet been ascertained, but the incident follows months of fires at important Russian structures, caused by drone attacks from Ukraine and enemies of Putin’s war against Kiev, the Daily Mail points out.
