Red Bull: not just goodbyes
Not just goodbyes at Red Bull. The Milton Keynes team has been much talked about in this first third of the 2024 season for the future departure of Adrian Newey and for the constant rumors regarding several key members of the team now judged to be out of the project. In reality, however, there are many fundamental figures inside the world champion team they seem destined to confirm their stay in the Austrian team.
Monaghan remains…
One of the last to have sealed his future with Red Bull it is – as reported by the site Autosport.com – Paul Monaghan, long-serving lead engineer on the Milton Keynes team. Monaghan would have accepted a contract extension with the team managed by Christian Horner, following the example of the various Pierre Wache, Enrico Balbo and Ben Waterhouse, who have all decided to confirm their presence in the team.
…Wheatley maybe
The next name Horner would like to be able to keep with him is that of sporting director Jonathan Wheatleywhich has had in-depth contacts with other teams, but which now seems more and more also destined to remain at Red Bull. The apparent demobilization that was so much talked about at the beginning of the season therefore seems to have been definitely averted. A also an important signal towards Max Verstappen in view of the regulatory change in 2026.
