Real Madrid turned the tables on its traditional rival, Barcelona, and defeated it 3-2 after an “exciting Clásico” at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, at the end of the 32nd round of the Spanish Football League.
Barcelona took the lead twice, as it scored an early goal, six minutes later, from a corner kick, executed by Brazilian Rafinha, and Danish defender Anders Christensen headed it into the net.
The Madrid team equalized with a penalty kick, executed by Brazilian Vinicius Junior in the 18th minute, and in the 69th minute, Lamine Yamal played a cross that bounced off goalkeeper Andrey Lunin, and Fermín Lopez met with his foot into the net, giving the Catalan team the lead again in the score.
Three minutes later, Lucas Vazquez scored the equalizer for Real Madrid, after a cross ball from Vinicius.
In the first minute of stoppage time, Jude Bellingham scored the third goal, after a cross ball from his colleague Lucas Vazquez.
Real Madrid raised its score to 81 points at the top, expanding the gap to 11 points with its competitor Barcelona, six rounds before the end of the competition, and is very close to crowning the league title.
The Madrid team also repeated its superiority over Barcelona for the third time this season, after winning by a score
2-1 in El Clásico, the first round of the league, then a 4-1 win in the Super Cup final.
