According to a text written by congresswoman Silvia Waiãpi, companies that participate in the program can receive tax incentives
O Bill No. 687 of 2024 creates the Empresa Azul and Selo Azul program, with incentives for companies that hire men diagnosed with or undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. The text, which is being analyzed by the Chamber of Deputies, creates different working conditions for men in these situations.
Among the benefits provided for men in companies that join the Empresa Azul program are:
- remote work;
- reduced working hours;
- flexible schedules;
- psychological and social support;
- guarantee of job stability.
Companies participating in the program could use the Blue Seal in advertising materials.
The project also stipulates tax incentives and access to training programs for the hiring and reintegration of men with cancer into the job market.
CRITERIA
To acquire the Blue Seal, which will be valid for 2 years, renewable, the company must meet the following criteria:
- have more than 10 employees;
- adopt a policy for hiring, maintaining and reintegrating women with breast cancer;
- present an annual activity report;
- comply with the requirements established in the Blue Seal regulations.
Author of the project, the deputy Silvia Waiãpi (PL-AP) states that, in Brazil, a man dies from prostate cancer every 38 minutes, according to the Ministry of Health.
“A policy for hiring, maintaining and re-inserting men with prostate cancer encourages companies to adopt inclusive and responsible practices, contributing to the reduction of discrimination and prejudice against men with prostate cancer in the job market”says the author.
