Micra: The first machine that La Marzocco developed only for home use.

La Marzocco divides the fan base: Mini or Micra? Which portafilter machine is better? We tested both devices – and a new grinder and scale.
Eespresso is quick to drink, but not quick to make. Barista weighs and grinds the beans, presses them firmly in the sieve, clamps the carrier and measures again how much extract ends up in the cup in order to stop the extraction at the right time. With a lot of routine, well-rehearsed steps and appropriate presets, the process doesn’t take much longer than that of a fully automatic machine, which usually delivers worse results. To prepare espresso in style you need a portafilter machine, grinder and scales.
Until now, coffee lovers usually had to select products from different manufacturers. Now more and more companies have portafilter machines and grinders in their range. Even La Marzocco offers a mill called Pico for its two machines, the Linea Mini and the new Linea Micra. The Italians also work with the company Acaia, whose Lunar scale was adapted for the Linea Mini.
