The Australian Superbike will again see the presence of Jack Miller, who for the second consecutive year will compete in a round in his national category. This time he too will race at The Bend for the last round of the ASBK from 25 to 27 November on a Ducati.
“I’m looking forward to returning to Adelaide to race in the Australian Superbike Championship at The Bend in November!” Said Miller. “Last year I had a great time with my friends and family and I can’t wait to do it again.”
Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle said Miller’s return is a success for ASBK: “Last year we saw tremendous interest in the ASBK championship event at The Bend and Jack’s return will be equally exciting. Not only has it brought enormous national and international attention to the scheduled races, but it has also brought attention to the high quality and standard of the ASBK championship that we have here in Australia. We can’t wait to see him arrive at the Bend in November and we hope that, like last year, he can have fun and offer a great show to the fans. “
The news also has the backing of newly elected South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas, an avid motorsport supporter who oversaw the return of the Adelaide 500-mile: “South Australia has a history full of great events and I am delighted to see another great event scheduled at The Bend next November “.
“Australia has produced many world-class motorcycling champions over the years, but South Australians have rarely had the opportunity to see them compete on our territory. This will be a tremendous opportunity for many fans to see Jack Miller in action in the Australian Superbike Championship scheduled for November this year. I congratulate The Bend for scoring a good shot in securing Jack’s presence at their event. “
Sam Shahin, boss of The Bend, thanked Miller for agreeing to participate in ASBK despite his commitments in MotoGP: “Jack is an icon of the sport. It is wonderful to see Australian riders maintain interest in the sport. in Australia and they are willing to come back here to excite the public as they do around the world. It is a confirmation of the health of Australian motorcycle racing, the ASBK championship and The Bend. We can’t wait. “
