Mexico.- The government of Mexico through the Secretary of Foreign Relations sent vaccines against Covid-19 to three islands located in Alatin america and the caribbean as part of the actions of the administration of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador of cooperation and solidarity.
Through a statement, the SRE reported that the country delivered between February 17 and 18 2,000 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 to Dominicaand 10 thousand doses at St. Vincent and the Grenadinesboth of them Eastern Caribbean States.
These vaccines were received in Dominica by the Acting Minister for Health, Welfare and New Investment in Health, the Hon. Kent Edwards, and the Permanent Secretary for Health, Ms. Letitia Lestrade-Wyke. For its part, the doses destined for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines were received by the Minister responsible for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Hon. Keisal M. Peters, and the honorary consul of Mexico in that country, Joel Providence.

It was reported that these doses were packed in special donor containers by the Direct Relief organization and were transported to their destination on a Mexican Air Force aircraft, with the aim of contributing to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in the region.
