On Monday evening, stations of the National Seismic Network, affiliated with the National Meteorological Center, recorded an earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale in Taiwan.
The observatory said, on the “X” platform, that the earthquake was recorded “at 22:32, corresponding to 04/22/2024 according to UAE local time.”
The Central Meteorological Agency in Taipei reported that a 6-magnitude earthquake shook Taiwan in the early hours of Tuesday, local time.
The earthquake occurred after the island was exposed to a series of earthquakes starting Monday afternoon, which were felt by residents, according to press correspondents on the spot.
