Napoli issued a statement on its official website to reveal the team shirt bearing the image of Maradona, which will be put up for auction to help Ukrainian refugees arriving in many European countries, including Italy, who fled Russia’s attack on their country.
The statement added that the club prepared “Diego shirts” for the match against Milan in the “28th round” of the Italian league in his honor, and the profits from the uniforms signed by the team’s players are donated to a non-profit organization to help refugees.
In their decisive match against Milan, in the struggle for the top of the Italian league, the owners of the land will wear the traditional blue primary shirt, and the date of the charity auction will be announced in the coming days.
The Italian club is offering 1926 units for sale, which is the number associated with the year in which the club was founded, and set the price of the shirt bearing the image of Maradona, at a value of 150 euros, after it was announced yesterday, Friday, and it will be worn on the occasion of the Napoli and Milan match, and it is the fourth shirt presented by the Italian team in honor of For the former team star since the beginning of the season.
Napoli sold the previous three copies with a total of 5778 shirts, in less than 5 hours, and collected nearly one million euros, knowing that he donated part of the profits to social causes.
