The flood situation in many parts of Germany is becoming increasingly serious. Our warning map helps you keep track of things.
Frankfurt – Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony – these federal states are most affected by a weather low that is causing heavy thunderstorms and continuous rain and thus a State of emergency in parts of Germany causes.

Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg massively affected – continuous rain and no end in sight
On Saturday afternoon, the highest storm warning level four was still in effect for regions in more than ten districts in Baden-Württemberg and especially Bavaria due to heavy, persistent rain. The fire service had to give up protecting a school on the Schussen in the Bodensee district on Saturday. The school in the Kehlen district of Meckenbeuren could no longer be held up, said a spokesman. Even the sandbags that had been installed could not hold back the water. Weather warnings also for eastern Germany
