Disapproval of the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) reached 47% in a CNN/Atlas survey released this Saturday, 15th. The mark equals the worst result since the beginning of the PT’s administration, recorded in November 2023 On the other hand, 51% of those interviewed say they approve of the Lula government and 2% were unable to respond.
The Atlas Intel institute interviewed 3,601 people between June 7th and 11th. The margin of error is one percentage point and the confidence level is 95%.
The rate of interviewees who evaluate the Lula government as “excellent or good” is 42.6%. The brand is technically tied with the number of respondents who rate the president’s management as “bad or very bad”: 42.8%.
14.3% rated Lula’s performance as “regular” and 0.3% were unable to respond.
The Atlas Intel research also indicates that approval or rejection of the Lula government is associated with the choice of the interviewee in the second round of the presidential election, in 2022.
Among those who voted for Lula on that occasion, approval was 95.4%. Among the voters of the then president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), there is 96.4% rejection of the PT member.
As for those who did not vote for either Lula or Bolsonaro, the approval of the president outweighs the negative mentions. This is the case of those interviewed who voted invalid or blank (51.4% to 43.7%) or did not vote in the second round (53% to 32.3%).
