Legal proceedings A man who has registered as president of Cannonball may represent the gang in winding-up proceedings

The main proceedings for the termination action will begin at the end of April.

Päijät-Häme the district court ruled on Wednesday that a man who has registered as president of the motorcycle gang Cannonball may represent Cannonball in the winding-up proceedings.

In the prosecution action, Cannonball and Squad 32 were named directors Esko Eklund. However, he stated that he was not a party to the case.

Instead, two other men applied to the court to intervene, in which one of them said he was president of Cannonball and the other a member. At a preparatory hearing last month, prosecutors acknowledged the possibility of a change of chair.

The main proceedings for the termination action will begin at the end of April. According to prosecutors, Cannonball’s main purpose is to commit crimes and is thus a prohibited association within the meaning of the Associations Act. Cannonball has denied this and says its operations are no different from other motorcycle clubs.
