The sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un warned Seoul of a “new response” and a “very dangerous situation” after the South resumed propaganda broadcasts over loudspeakers near the border on Sunday, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported.
Kim Yo Jong, one of the North Korean regime’s main spokesmen, said, “If South Korea chooses to engage in leaflet-throwing and loudspeaker provocations across the border, it will undoubtedly witness our new response,” Yonhap reported, citing the North’s Korean Central News Agency.
Kim Yo Jong added that the loudspeaker broadcast was “a precursor to a very dangerous situation.”
The South Korean military said earlier on Sunday that Seoul had resumed launching propaganda broadcasts over loudspeakers directed at North Korea, following a warning demanding that Pyongyang stop sending waste balloons.
