The thief who broke into the Kuuttila bar on Wednesday night was only able to get mild alcoholic drinks. The police caught the can thief right in the bar.

“We survived with little damage, because the thief had put only cans of hard seltzer in his plastic bag,” says the bar’s owner Daniil Vorojeikin.
“There is a box next to the counter where money is collected for the Baltic Sea, but it didn’t work.”
The thief had broken into Kuuttila between one and two in the early hours of Wednesday night. The thief had gotten in by throwing a stone at the store’s window.
“An old window breaks easily. We are now trying to negotiate with the building company that the future window would be laminated,” Vorojeikin says, referring to the anti-burglary films that can be installed on windows.
Cops According to Vorojeikin, they had arrived so quickly that the thief was caught red-handed. Vorojeikin, the owner of Kuuttila, was sleeping at the time of the incident.
He heard about the burglary in the morning when the police called him.
“It’s funny that nothing but selzter was good for a thief. Apparently, someone had become thirsty,” says Vorojeikin.
The bar was left in a fairly clean condition after the night guest, except for the broken window. The restaurant manager had gone to clean the places in the morning.
Kuuttila will be closed on Wednesday due to repair work, but Vorojeikin estimates that the doors can be opened as soon as tomorrow, Thursday.
Kuuttila Bar has been operating on Vilhonvuorenkatu for about a year. According to Vorojeikin, the area has otherwise been peaceful.
