Governor Gladkov visited children injured as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov visited children and adults injured as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The head of the region announced this in his Telegram-channel.
He noted that there are currently 26 people in the hospital from Shebekino, Belgorod and other settlements in the region.
“Three victims are now in the intensive care unit in serious condition, of which two men with open craniocerebral injuries are under mechanical ventilation, who were taken to the hospital after yesterday’s arrivals in the regional center,” Gladkov wrote.
The governor added that another 23 patients are in outpatient wards. Among them is an eight-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl, added head of the region.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces again fired shells at the Belgorod region. They were shot down at about 16:30 (Moscow time) by air defense systems on duty. The shelling was carried out from the Vilkha multiple launch rocket system; two shells were destroyed.
In addition, on May 26, Belgorod was attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces using an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle.
