As part of its dynamic diplomatic dialogues that host distinguished local and international speakers, the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, the leading center specialized in developing diplomatic capabilities and competencies in the UAE, hosted a panel discussion at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, European Union Commissioner for International Partnerships.
The panel discussion was moderated by Nikolai Mladenov, Acting Director General of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, who welcomed Jutta Orbilinen, the European Union Commissioner for International Partnerships. In turn, the European Union Commissioner for International Partnerships highlighted the strategy of the Global Gateway project, which aims to address the most pressing global challenges, including climate change, improving health care, enhancing competitiveness and the security of global supply chains, noting that EU member states are working It has jointly raised up to 300 billion euros in investments in digital, climate, energy, transport, health and education.

“The EU already has strong traditional ties to the GCC,” said Jutta Orbilinen. Our new communication on the strategic partnership with the Gulf countries is a gateway to strengthening cooperation at the regional level, by strengthening political contacts, increasing trade and investment, combating climate change, ensuring global health, inclusive education and energy security, as well as supporting smooth digital and green transformations.
