The Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) made new appointments through Prosecutor Ernestina Godoy Ramos.
Laura Borbolla Moreno was appointed as the new head of the Deputy Prosecutor’s Office for Processes.
Sayuri Herrera Román, who was Specialized Prosecutor for the Investigation of the Crime of Femicide, will take her place as General Coordinator of the Investigation of Gender Crimes and Attention to Victims, although it was not specified who will occupy the position she held.
Borbolla Moreno graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Querétaro with a degree in Law and completed a Master’s degree and a Specialty in Criminal Law.
Currently, she is in the process of obtaining her Doctor of Law degree from the same university.
He worked in the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), now the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) in the National Security Commission of the Ministry of the Interior (CNS); Secretary of Government of the Executive Power of the State of Querétaro and Judicial Power of the State of Querétaro.
She has been a teacher and shared her experience in the National Institute of Criminal Sciences (Inacipe) and in the Police Development System (SIDEPOL-PF-CNS) and in the institution from which she graduated.
While Sayuri Herrera Román participated and was selected in the framework of the “Public Call for the presentation of proposals to occupy the position of head of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of the Crime of Femicide”, published in the Official Gazette of the City of Mexico, on January 10, 2020.
This is in accordance with a strict evaluation of her professional profile and agreement A/011/2019, by which the Specialized Prosecutor for the Investigation of the Crime of Feminicide was created, published in the Official Gazette of Mexico City, on September 17. of 2019.
She has been a human rights defender, a Master in Law from the UNAM Law School, and in Human Rights from the Universidad Iberoamericana; She has two degrees, one in Law from UNAM and the other in Psychology from the Autonomous Metropolitan University.
He has practiced law in the defense and accompaniment of victims of serious human rights violations such as torture, extrajudicial execution and femicide.
