The earthquake was preceded by a roar, and this time too the shock was superficial and prolonged
The seismograph of Phlegraean Fields recorded yet another earthquake, part of an almost infinite seismic swarm. What was reported this morning, and which still needs to be correctly confirmed, was a new signal of clear seismic activity in the Solfatara area.
The area in particular is the epicenter of bradyseismic crisis in the caldera area. At 9.19 am today, May 31st, this mild tremor occurred, but what made it worrying, as happens from time to time, is the fact that it was superficial and prolonged, according to what was detected by the seismograph of INGV located in Solfatara. The earthquake was clearly felt in the entire area.

The earthquake near the Campi Flegrei was preceded by a roar, as usual and as the population knows well. The seismic event in question, according to what we learn from the first sources that speak of the seismic event, seems to have reached a magnitude of 1.5 on the Richter scale. The earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 2 km.
The crisis continues for the large population in the various locations located on the edges and above the area called Campi Flegrei. Even when the earthquake event is recorded as “slight”, let’s remember that we are talking about very superficial events (much less than 5 km deep). For this reason, all the small tremors are always felt by a large Neapolitan population.

The area is in the center ofmedia attention for a few weeks even though so far there have been months of intensification of the bradyseismic phenomenon. For some time, in fact, a large number of people have been living with a phenomenon that is described as monitored and not alarming. People, however, continue to be afraid of having to abandon everything. The lands, one’s home, one’s belongings, to be left behind in order to have to evacuate the area (some even think) forever. Experts, however, are keen to reassure the population.
