A police patrol visited the situation on Wednesday afternoon. According to the police, there is no doubt about it, but it is about two cannabis plants in a fairly good flowering stage.
“The plants have now been removed. They will be disposed of properly, and if possible, we will try to find out the breeder as well”, says the head of the investigation, Commissioner of Crime Marko Peltonen from the police of Inner Finland.
According to Peltonen, it is almost certain that the plants were made to grow along the Lenkkipolu on purpose. Similar cases occur in Peltonen’s business area, i.e. in the area of Nokia, Ylöjärvi and Pirkkala, a few times in the summer.
“Usually, however, the plants are made to grow a little further away in the terrain, they are rarely found this close to the city center,” he continues.
According to Peltonen, it is important that such observations are always reported to the police. It is worth making a report even then, even if you are not quite sure whether it is a cannabis plant.
“Cultivating and growing cannabis is always a matter for the police. We will then check the situation and take care of it from there.”
