According to the prosecution, the production of the cards would have been a useless expense as it overlapped with the green pass national. The matter was investigated by the Financial Police, under the coordination of prosecutors Davide Vitale and Mauro Senatore. The invitation to deduce to the under investigation – President DeLuca and the other members of the Region's crisis unit – was notified last August.
The tax damage contested a DeLuca in August it was 928 thousand euros. In particular, the invitations to deduce from the regional prosecutor's office for Campania of the Court of Auditors were issued to the president of the Campania Region De Luca himself and to Italo Giulivo, coordinator of the regional Crisis Unit for the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19 ; for Antonio Postiglione, member and deputy of the Crisis Unit, and for the other members Massimo Bisogno, Ugo Trama and Roberta Santaniello.
