Piacenza, 11 arrests for corruption and fraud
The blitz of the carabinieri of the provincial command of Piacenza revolves around a system of corruption that led to 11 arrests (4 in prison and 7 under house arrest) and a ban on residence. The precautionary measures were carried out in the provinces of Piacenza, Alessandria, Lodi and Pavia by about 300 soldiers.
At the disposal of the investigating judge, the maxi operation of the carabinieri was triggered against 37 suspectsincluding building contractors, mayors and technical officials of local authorities Alta Val Trebbia and the capital.
I crimes of conspiracy, extortion, corruption, abuse of office, trafficking in illicit influences, disturbed freedom of enchantments and the freedom of the procedure for choosing the contractor, fraud in public supplies, material and ideological falsehood committed by public officials, fraud and exchange vote.
