The US Senate held two hearings on the safety and manufacturing quality of Boeing planes on Wednesday, with company informants testifying about the technical conditions of the assembly. The company has been under investigation since January, when a door fell off one of its aircraft on an Alaska Airlines flight.
Sam Salehpour, a quality engineer for the company, testified that he had reported several safety alarm situations during the manufacturing of the planes, but that his reports were not followed up. According to his statements, the company has significant failures in the closure of aircraft joints, which could cause accidents.
