BOOM. The firm, a benchmark in the energy sector, accompanies thousands of clients, individuals and companies in their energy transition
The fight against climate change and sustainability are the fundamental pillars on which the policies of Applied Engineering are based, the leading Murcian company in the installation of renewables, energy saving and self-consumption. In addition to photovoltaic solar energy, the company’s most demanded products include charging points for electric vehicles and aerothermal energy, a new fully efficient air conditioning system that uses the energy contained in the air to produce cold, heat and hot water.
Currently Applied Engineering has its headquarters in Polígono Base 2000, in Lorquí. It has a team of almost 100 professionals, with different profiles, including engineers, architects, sales representatives and technicians. The company will end the year with nearly 900 residential-type photovoltaic installations, and some 4 MW in industrial installations, including their monitoring, control and maintenance, as well as numerous electric vehicle charging systems, both for individuals and companies.
«Thanks to our extensive experience in the sector and the high qualification of our workers, we are trained for the global management of any file. We do ‘turnkey’ projects, from the initial idea to the start-up, legalization of the installation, as well as the management of subsidies or aid that is available in any administration”, highlights Cristóbal Olivares, manager of Applied Engineering.
The company in the renewable energy sector is also a collaborating partner of Iberdrola, the world’s leading company in the energy sector. As an official supplier of its ‘Smart Solar’, ‘Smart Mobility’ and ‘Smart Clima’ products, it has been expanding its area of action, operating throughout the Region of Murcia, the Valencian Community and soon in Castilla-La Mancha. In addition, it manages five Iberdrola customer service points in Murcia, Jumilla, Caravaca, Molina de Segura and Alcantarilla.
The best combination: aerothermal and photovoltaic
Currently there are numerous aids for self-consumption, which makes it very profitable to bet on renewables, both from an economic and environmental point of view.
Thanks to the incentives and subsidies that public institutions are currently offering, and with the progressive increase in the price of electricity, investment in solar panels is quickly recoverable. Although having a good installation, suitable for the home or company in question, and having good quality solar panels, is decisive.
Right now the best investment is in the combination of photovoltaic solar energy and aerothermal energy. «We have just signed a budget with a client that combines solar and aerothermal energy of 27,300 euros, of which, with all the subsidies, he is only going to pay 8,500 euros. But it is that, from there you can still deduct up to 60% in personal income tax. In the end, the installation will only mean about 3,000 euros of spending and also the considerable savings that you will notice on your electricity bill, “says Olivares.
Ingenieria Aplicada is also a Solar Partner of its main supplier, SMA, a leading German brand in system technology for photovoltaic applications. The energy company has been awarded nationally at the annual SMA PARTNER 2022 event, within the category of ‘More SMA equipment installed 2022’.
Promotion of sustainable mobility
Applied Engineering is committed to facilitating the transition to sustainable mobility. Since 2019 and under the Smart Mobility product, the company has installed more than 200 charging points in residential homes and 80 semi-fast and fast charging points included in Iberdrola’s public electric vehicle charging network.
In statements by Cristóbal Olivares, manager of the company: “the need to take care of our planet and to eliminate fossil fuels are promoting an energy transition that is gaining more and more speed, and this involves transforming our mobility. For this reason, in Applied Engineering we are always in continuous training to immediately attend to the needs of the market”.
«The increase in users of electric vehicles is already a reality, which is why cities are adapting and providing the necessary infrastructures to make all this possible. Thanks to our collaborating partner, Iberdrola, we have an expansion plan that takes us to many municipalities, mainly in Murcia and the Valencian Community, where we are installing numerous charging points,” adds Olivares.
