Reuters: in the communiqué of the conference on Ukraine there is a point about Kyiv’s control over the Zaporizhia NPP
The draft communiqué of the conference on Ukraine contains a clause on Kyiv’s control over the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), reports Reuters.
In addition, the document speaks of the need for “free, full and safe” commercial navigation in the Azov and Black Seas, and also calls for the release of prisoners of war. “All deported and illegally displaced Ukrainian children, as well as all other Ukrainian civilians who were illegally detained, must be returned to Ukraine,” the text of the draft says.
In addition, according to the agency, the document emphasizes that any threats to use nuclear weapons in the context of the Ukrainian conflict are unacceptable.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the demands of Ukraine and the West to transfer control of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant to them nuclear blackmail. According to her, Western politicians promised that in this case the shelling of the nuclear power plant would stop.
