ElAnalistaDeBits has published a video that compares A Plague Tale: Requiem on PS5, Xbox Series X, S and PC. From the analysis we learn that the game of Studio Asobo does not reach 4K resolution on consoles despite the game being anchored at 30 fps (40 fps with a 120Hz display).
According to the YouTuber, A Plague Tale: Requiem turns a 1440p and 30fps on both PS5 and Xbox Series X and at 1080p and 30fps on Xbox Series S. On 120Hz TVs and monitors, the frame count goes up to 40fps. We are therefore talking about very different performances compared to other games arrived in the last two years on consoles, which usually allow at least to choose between 4K or 60fps, while in some cases both are present.
According to ElAnalistaDeBits, the Xbox Series X version of A Plague Tale: Requiem is the most stable of those consoles. On PS5, however, there are performance issues in some areas, especially in open spaces with rats. Apart from that graphically the two versions are basically identical.
On the other hand, the PC version is the one that has more vegetation and better environmental occlusion, shadows and anisotropic filter. Provided you have a very performing configuration, as explained in our review of A Plague Tale: Requiem. ElAnalistaDeBits also reports that the game does not currently support ray tracing, which will be added soon with an update.
