Al-Ittifaq defeated its guest Al-Ahly 1-0 at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam in the “23rd round” of the Saudi Football Championship.
As a result of the loss, Al-Ahly decided to dismiss its Albanian coach, Bisnik Hasi, and issued a statement saying, “The Al-Ahly club’s board of directors decided to terminate his relationship with the club’s first football coach, Bisnik Hasi.”
The club management thanked the coach for the time he spent training the first football team, wishing him success in his next training stations.
On the other hand, Ahmed Al-Hanfush, the coach of the temporary agreement who succeeded the sacked Serbian Vladan Milojevic, succeeded in his first experience with the team, and led him out of the relegation positions temporarily.
After the end of the match, Al-Ettifaq management also announced its contract with French coach Patrice Carteron, to lead the first team, and lead the team’s training, in preparation for facing Al-Nasr, in the twenty-fourth round of the Saudi League.
Al-Ettifaq management expressed its heartfelt thanks to coach Ahmed Al-Hanfush and his temporary technical staff for their efforts in leading the Al-Ittifaq match against Al-Ahly.
Al-Ittifaq raised its score to 23 points, to climb to the thirteenth place in the league standings, with a game postponed against Al Hilal, while Al-Ahly’s balance froze at 25 points from 23 matches, in the eleventh place.
