Jeep’s plug-in hybrid recipe works great. This is demonstrated by the data that the 4xe range of the US brand month after month continues to record on the Italian market: also in February the PHEV models of the Jeep brand conquered a record share in the segment that includes “on tap” vehicles, therefore plug-in and electric hybrids, repeating the excellent result obtained also in January. A real success for Jeep’s electrified 4xe range, currently made up of models Compass, Renegade and Wrangler.
Going deeper, it can be seen that, limited to the PHEV sector, Jeep models equipped with 4xe technology have the share of 30% in the month of February alone, which means that about one in three plug-in hybrid cars sold in Italy is an SUV of the US brand. As for the individual models, however, the Renegade 4xe is confirmed as the best-selling rechargeable car in its segment, while the Compass 4xe is proclaimed the most marketed LEV model of all. The success of the electrified Jeep range could soon become even more relevant, as the US brand will soon introduce the new Grand Cherokee 4xe: this is the fifth generation of the brand’s flagship, the most awarded SUV ever, which represents an important moment in the evolution of the brand and a further step in the electrification strategy of the entire range.
