The Ministry of Health and Community Protection and its counterpart in the Republic of Sierra Leone discussed strengthening joint efforts to consolidate relations in the health care sector, exchanging experiences in the field of training and strengthening cooperation frameworks in public health. They also discussed the transfer of digital knowledge and the formation of a working group to study opportunities for signing a memorandum of understanding between the two sides.
This came during a meeting held at the Ministry’s office in Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Austin Dembe, Minister of Health of Sierra Leone, with Dr. Muhammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Foundation for Health Services. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for the Public Health Sector, and Rashid Sesay, Ambassador of the Republic of Sierra Leone in the country.
