Formula 1 has published the ranking of the best 10 drivers of the 2021 season, decided by the vote of some of them.
Expressing their preferences on colleagues were Fernando Alonso, Pierre Gasly, Nicholas Latifi, Charles Leclerc, Nikita Mazepin, Lando Norris, Esteban Ocon, Daniel Ricciardo, George Russell, Carlos Sainz, Mick Schumacher, Lance Stroll, Yuki Tsunoda and Sebastian Vettel .
By regulation, the protagonists of the circus were also allowed to select themselves (the vote was anonymous), with the scores assigned exactly on the scale adopted by the championship.
The resulting Top10 sees the World Champion, Max Verstappen, in the lead, followed by his staunch enemy Lewis Hamilton. It should be noted that both the Red Bull and Mercedes drivers were not among those who voted (including Kimi Räikkönen, Antonio Giovinazzi, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez).
Norris is also on the podium, while behind the McLaren standard bearer we find the two Ferrari drivers, Sainz and Leclerc, with the Spaniard who is ahead of the Monegasque, just as happened in the championship.
Sixth position for Alonso, with Gasly and Russell behind, while Ocon and Schumacher complete the ranking.
Curiously, neither Bottas nor Pérez appear, who finished third and fourth respectively in the championship. Ricciardo (eighth) also did not receive enough preferences to confirm his position.
